Racflo OR Oral Suspension reduces the excessive secretion of water and electrolytes and helps replenish the lost fluids and salts. It also helps treat loose stools and prevents abdominal distension or flatulence. Encourage your child to drink plenty of fluids while taking it to stay hydrated. Your child may start to feel better after getting treated for a few days to a week. However, do not extend the course or stop the medicine by yourself without consulting your child?s doctor. This may lead to the recurrence of symptoms.

Racflo OR Oral Suspension is given to children to treat the symptoms of acute diarrhea and dysentery caused due to bacterial infections. It kills the diarrhea-causing microorganism, restores the level of water and electrolytes, and reduces the symptoms, severity, and duration of illness. Give Racflo OR Oral Suspension to your child orally either before or after food. For best results, you must also keep giving ORS (oral rehydration solution) throughout the day. Usually, Racflo OR Oral Suspension is prescribed two times a day, once in the morning and once at bedtime. However, this dose may vary depending upon your child?s symptoms, body weight, and age. So, adhere to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor. Repeat the dose if your child vomits within 30 minutes of the intake of Racflo OR Oral Suspension. However, do not double the dose if it is already time for the next dose.Some children may develop minor and short-term side effects after the intake of this medicine. These include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, headache, skin rash, and itching. These episodes are temporary and subside on their own. However, in case they persist for long or start bothering your child, you must consult your child?s doctor without any delay.Do inform your child?s doctor if your child has ever had any previous episode of allergy, bowel obstruction, electrolyte imbalance, heart problem, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. This will guide the doctor in planning your child?s overall treatment.
